Best Pizza in Sydney

Sydney's pizza scene has elevated dramatically over the past decade, driven by a wave of Italian immigrants and Australian chefs trained in Italy who have brought genuine Neapolitan craft to the city. Several Sydney pizzerias are now certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, and the quality of wood-fired Neapolitan pizza available in Sydney ranks among the best outside Italy.

Da Orazio Pizza + Porchetta in Bondi and Matteo in Double Bay are among the most celebrated. The inner-west suburb of Glebe hosts several excellent wood-fired pizza restaurants, and Surry Hills' density of Italian restaurants means excellent pizza is never far away. The city also has a strong Roman-style pizza al taglio scene, and by-the-slice pizza culture has grown in the CBD and university precincts.
